Annual service is $550, performed at your dock, on the trailer at your home, or at your marina, anywhere on the coast from Hollywood to Jupiter. The Spark is a light, simple, brilliant machine, and it deserves the same professional care as a $20,000 flagship. What the $550 Annual Service Covers
The Spark’s 900 ACE Rotax is a compact engine working inside a tight polytec hull, and access is everything. We know our way around it. Your annual includes:
- Engine oil and filter change with the correct Rotax-spec oil.
- Spark plug replacement and ignition check.
- Jet pump inspection, including wear ring and impeller condition.
- Battery load test and terminal service.
- BUDS scan for stored fault codes and hour verification.
- Corrosion protection, lubrication points, and an operational check.
Need just the oil done between annuals? An oil and filter change on its own is $350. Both figures and the rest of our rates live on the pricing page. On the trailer there is no surcharge; dockside or on-yacht work adds $200 per watercraft.
Spark Questions We Answer Every Week
The resonator delete. Half the Sparks in South Florida seem to have one, and we get asked constantly whether it is a good idea. We will give you a straight answer for your ski: what it changes about sound and back pressure, what it does to resale, and what to watch for if the delete was done poorly by a previous owner. No lectures, just honest information.
The battery. The Spark uses a smaller battery than the full-size Sea-Doo range, and undersized replacements or cheap units are a common cause of no-start calls. We install a correct, quality battery for $220, tested and terminals protected, at your location.
Oil changes. The 900 ACE holds a small amount of oil, which means the oil works hard. Skipping a season in a climate where the ski runs twelve months a year is how these engines get tired early. Annual changes are the cheapest engine insurance a Spark owner can buy.
Ridden Hard? Some Sparks Need More Than an Annual
The Spark is the backbone of every rental fleet in Florida for a reason: it takes abuse. But if your Spark lives a rental-grade life, stacking fast hours with multiple riders, sandbar days, and saltwater starts, a single annual service is not enough. High-hour machines do better on an hours-based schedule, with oil changes and pump checks at regular intervals rather than once a year. We will look at your hour count and set an honest schedule, whether you own one Trixx or a small fleet.
If something is already wrong, a no-start, a fault code, limp mode, or a strange noise, diagnosis and repair runs a $200 call-out plus $200 per hour with a $400 minimum per visit, and most Spark issues are resolved in a single appointment.
