Sea-Doo Supercharger Service and Rebuild, at Your Dock
Liquid Industries inspects, services, and rebuilds superchargers on 230 and 300 hp Sea-Doo watercraft across Broward and Palm Beach County. We come to your dock, marina, trailer, or yacht, diagnose the supercharger on site with BUDS and a hands-on inspection, and quote any rebuild or replacement before work begins. If your RXP-X, RXT-X, GTX Limited 300, or Wake Pro 230 has lost its hit, this is where to start.
Signs Your Supercharger Is Tired
A supercharged Rotax rarely fails without warning. It fades. What owners describe to us most often:
- Slow out of the hole. The ski that used to snap onto plane now builds speed gradually, like a naturally aspirated model.
- Peak RPM is down. A few hundred RPM below the number you know the ski should turn at wide open throttle.
- The whine has changed. A different pitch, a rattle at idle, or a metallic note that was never there before.
- Top speed and fuel numbers are off. You are working the engine harder to go slower.
These symptoms overlap with jet pump problems, which is why we diagnose before we quote. A worn wear ring can mimic a lazy supercharger, and that is a much cheaper fix. See our wear ring replacement page if the ski also cavitates.
Why the Interval Matters on 230 and 300 hp Rotax Engines
The supercharger on these engines spins at extremely high speed and drives boost through a clutch and bearing assembly that wears with hours, heat, and salt air. Recommended intervals vary by engine and model year, so we check your specific ski against its hours and service history rather than quoting a brochure. The stakes are real: on a 300 hp Rotax, a supercharger that lets go can send metal through the engine, turning a service item into an engine replacement. In South Florida the machines run year round, so hours accumulate faster than most owners expect, and catching a worn clutch early is far cheaper than replacing an engine.
Dockside Diagnosis, Priced Straight
Supercharger diagnosis falls under our standard diagnosis and repair structure: a $200 call-out plus $200 per hour, with a $400 minimum per visit. On the trailer there is no surcharge; dockside or on-yacht service adds $200 per watercraft. Full rates are on our pricing page. During the visit we scan the ECU with BUDS, verify peak RPM against spec, inspect the supercharger, check for clutch slip and shaft play, and look at the intercooler and intake tract. You get a clear verdict on site, with photos in your service report.
Rebuild or Replace, Quoted After Inspection
We do not publish a flat rebuild price, because an honest number does not exist until the unit is opened. Condition of the shaft, bearings, clutch washers, and compressor wheel varies enormously between a freshwater garage queen and a saltwater workhorse. After inspection we quote the job in writing: rebuild with a quality kit where the core is healthy, or replacement where it is not, with our recommendation and reasoning either way. Removal can be done at your dock or on the trailer, and the ski goes back together with fresh hardware and a water test.
Models We Cover
RXP-X 300, RXT-X 300, GTX Limited 300, GTX 230, GTR 230, Wake Pro 230, and the earlier supercharged 215, 255, and 260 hp Rotax platforms. All of it is modern four-stroke equipment, roughly 2002 and newer; we do not take on older two-strokes, though we are happy to give honest advice if you call. For everything else Sea-Doo, from Spark to GTX, see our Sea-Doo service hub or the broader jet ski service page.
Mobile Across Broward and Palm Beach County
Supercharged Sea-Doos are thick on the water here, and we service them where they live: behind homes in Fort Lauderdale, on lifts around Boca Raton, and at marinas in West Palm Beach. If you are anywhere on the coast between Hollywood and Jupiter, we come to you.
Supercharger Service FAQs
How do I know if my Sea-Doo supercharger is failing?
The usual signs are a soft holeshot, peak RPM a few hundred below spec, a change in the supercharger whine, and reduced top speed. Because pump wear causes similar symptoms, we confirm the cause with a BUDS scan and hands-on inspection before quoting any work.
How often should a Sea-Doo supercharger be serviced?
It depends on the engine and model year, and on how the ski is used. Saltwater hours count harder than the brochure suggests. We review your hours and history at the first visit and give you a straight answer for your specific machine.
How much does a supercharger rebuild cost?
We quote rebuilds and replacements after inspection, not before, because internal condition varies too much for a fair flat price. The inspection itself runs $200 call-out plus $200 per hour with a $400 minimum, and that diagnosis tells you exactly what the fix will cost.
Can you really do supercharger work at my dock?
Yes. Diagnosis, removal, and reinstallation happen at your dock, trailer, marina, or yacht. When a unit needs bench work we handle the logistics, then return to install, seal, and water test the ski at your location.
